Lyres & flip folders by instrument family
A lyre is the clip that holds music on the instrument. A flip folder is the windowed booklet that sits on that clip. Buying the wrong family is the most common first-year mistake — a trumpet lyre will not save a clarinet. Filter by family, then confirm fit with the handbook.

Confirm with your handbook/director
Confirm with your handbook/director. Programs differ on lyre style, folder size, reed strength, rain rules, and what is allowed on the field. Ask the section leader to show you theirs before you order. Photograph the mount if you need to.
